Parental complaints? Urk. Not too much to legitimately complain about, though when my step-dad had his friend around and started playing my drumkit without permission... when it was 0032 and I had to be headlining a festival, I was not happy. The most fun part is that I get yelled at for even asking to lend something of his when there's a purpose behind it for fear I'll break it. When he doesn't even use it. Oh, and the alcohol-induced anger phases he seems to go through, sometimes I'm glad I've got a place to stay and it doesn't result in me with a broken nose with that nutter around, too. :<

Who knows though, maybe I'll /actually/ have a job, soon. Maybe after my 18th, but I've heard that companies can be pretty horrible and screwy concerning minimum wage and such. But on the other side, if I have money coming in, then I can go somewhere else!

I normally like his parents (well, his mom anyway, his dad I'm not a fan of), but this was just something that severely pissed us both off. And normally I'd have no qualms in telling them exactly what I think.

However, he's still stuck living at home for another month or two while he finishes up one last class, so me snapping right now would not do him any favors (his parents are the "we know what's best and we're not going to acknowledge you're not a child" sort, and he was genuinely worried that if I snapped at them they would try and find some way of breaking us up...not really possible, but it would make things for him hell). So for the moment, I keep my mouth shut and seethe.

time to find something to punch....or a place to scream....
(though parents will ALWAYS think they know what's best--even when you are 40 )

good luck with it--and do try to let the steam off--keeping it in is unhealthy.

woke up with a migraine today--great week this has been.

I'm sorry you have a migraine cosy. I hope it goes away soon!

Well fingerprinting and background check in a little while. Get to spend more money for my job... I swear I have spent upwards of $500 just trying to get everything in order for my job... And that is before I have bought anything for my classroom. Haven't seen a dime yet since I won't get paid until August. /sigh... And people say teachers make to much.

who says teachers make a lot???? they are some of the most underpaid-- (money wise) ....
migraine is doing a bit better (4 hours of sleep and some nice pain meds help )
I remember getting fingerprinted (I was bonded back in the 90's)...dont remember it costing me anything at the time (though my company probably paid for it if it did--though now they REQUIRE kids to get it done in florida).

have a massage today--hope that helps with the rest of my pain (and he does help a bit with the migraines too)....
then PIZZA for dinner!!!!!!

how do you plan on losing any weight if you are eating pizza... huh..huh..huh...
oh i remember getting fingerprinted. but it wasn't for work. well atleast not legal work. and yeah i had to pay for it. not with money, but with hard labor over the course of the next few years after that while i was in a brick house. sheesh did i wish the big bad wolf could of come through and huff and puff and blow down that brick house. oh well. i guess little red riding hood and the three pigs never made it to my side of town...

the cookie bar is locked away in my cellar with the bad little kids who throw bottles at all the other people getting stoned in the trailer park...

I only eat one piece...and we dont do meat lovers types--I like artichoke and spinach myself. (hubby eats the rest). and its the ONLY meal I eat during the day. Pizza is not bad for you per-se...its the extras you have on it--the 'meat' alone has tons of oily grease! (bleh!!). I go for the multi grain crusts and no extra cheese.

and then I always order a salad with my pizzas...so I eat the salad and one piece, hubby eats the rest....and we only eat pizza like once a month or 6 weeks.'

massage therapist helped with the migraine...now I really just want a nap (and heck with that pizza even).

Mmh, pizza. I had a pizza hut a few weeks ago after travelling about London and not eating all day. Either the hunger made the food tasty because I was that hungry or Pizza Hut has gotten better since last time I had it. Certainly beats eating at the ExCel center, though, they may as well pickpocket you while you eat around that place. D: Have to say I was more thankful my TMJ didn't end up getting involved again, how I wish I could eat properly again.

Homemade cookies > anything store-bought.

Yes, I am something of a baking snob

Feeling better today, I decided I wanted to make cupcakes but couldn't find a recipe I liked. Soooo I made it up as I went along. They turned out amazing.

Baking snobbery aside, I find it hard to disagree with the homemade cookies comment.

I was a baker too....but we did muffins and pies and breads, not too many cookies...and my mom LOVED to bake cookies--every xmas we had DOZENS of types of cookies (with 6 kids around I was amazed she didnt make more)....we used to spend most of december making the doughs, and then days baking them, dressing them, etc....and then my mom also made rum balls, burbon balls and marzipan....I love marzipan--hers not that junk you get from stores (preservatives and more preservatives--no thanks)

and my mom's dad was also a baker--from sweden, cardamom rolls, breads...but he died when I was 5---I can still smell the rising doughs------

man I miss those xmas's....long gone ---but not forgotten.

I really need to get a house--I NEED a real kitchen! this yuppie thing I have is a sad excuse for a kitchen! (and some over head lights--dang 1980's).
